The Oneota Community Food Co-op hosted a “Round-Up at the Register” campaign July 20th through August 3rd. During this time, customers at the Co-op were given the opportunity to round-up their sale to the nearest whole dollar with these funds going to support Northeast Iowa Peace and Justice Center. The campaign held in late July raised $1,508 for NEIPJC.

Beginning out of a response to an immigration raid in Postville, Iowa in 2008, NEIPJC addresses issues of social and racial justice, climate, and immigration through education, advocacy, and action. They are a resource for information, a network for support, and a space to organize. Speakers, workshops and events occur online or outdoors during these times, all with a focus on action to create a just, sustainable, and equitable community. Their office at 119 Winnebago in Decorah is open by appointment.  NEIPJC works tirelessly to promote non-violent solutions to social, economic, and environmental injustices.
